Our students love our Herbal Tea Blending Wheel. In this workshop series, it will serve as your guide for blending. Use it in real time, alongside your experienced tea-blending guides, to craft winning tea blends with ease.

#1 – Botanical Teas Recipe Book
This book offers over 150 tea blends for your home apothecary. It reflects the art and science of herbal tea blends, revealing the secrets to brewing infusions, decoctions, and sun teas that capture the essence of herbs with each thoughtful brew.
#2 – Herbal Tea Blending Wheel
This blending wheel makes it fun and easy to create your own custom tea blends at home. Just spin the wheel to choose from 12 base herbs based on their herbal actions, flavors, and energetics. MEET YOUR INSTRUCTORS

Lindsey Feldpausch, RH(AHG)
Lindsey is Assistant Director and Lead Herbalist Educator for Herbal Academy. With over 15 years of experience in the field of herbalism, Lindsey’s work has been focused on herbal education, product formulation, and clinical herbal practice. Lindsey brings her expertise in phytochemistry, extraction, and formulation to her teachings as she guides your learning throughout this workshop series.

Guido Masé, RH(AHG)
Guido is the Principal Scientist, Head Formulator, and Herbal Educator for Traditional Medicinals, bringing clinical experience, storytelling, and scientific research into his teachings during this series. Guido’s teaching style focuses on conveying the interconnections within the human organism and between the organism and its surrounding ecology. He also co-founded the Vermont Center for Integrative Herbalism, and is a founding member of the Burlington Herb Clinic, where he houses his clinical practice.

Taryn Forrelli, ND
As Chief Science Officer for Traditional Medicinals, Taryn will bring over 20 years of experience researching, formulating, and commercializing herbal supplements to her teachings within this workshop series. She is deeply inspired by Traditional Medicinals’ purpose, which aligns with her personal life mission of awakening people to the wonders and intelligence of plants and partnering with them to heal ourselves, our communities, and the planet. Taryn holds a Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine degree from Sonoran University of Health Sciences and decades of experience researching, formulating and commercializing herbal supplements.

Pamela Spence, M.A. (Hons), B.Sc. (Hons), MNIMH
Pamela is a medical herbalist and lead Herbalist Educator for Herbal Academy and is the Herbal Expert at Twinings Tea. As an herbalist, writer, and educator based in Scotland, Pamela has written and presented her own BBC series on traditional herbal medicine. She will use her extensive experience to weigh in on formulation technique throughout the lessons in this workshop series.

Marisa Williams, ND, RH(AHG)
Marisa is a naturopathic doctor, herbalist, and botanist with a passion for beneficial plants that began in childhood. With degrees in biology and botany, a doctorate in naturopathic medicine, and a background spanning botanical research, clinical practice, and herbal formulation, she brings a unique blend of scientific and traditional herbal expertise. Since joining Traditional Medicinals in 2018 as Staff Scientist, Marisa has helped guide plant research, product development, and herbal formulation, with a focus on advancing the well-being of both people and plants.

THE TEA MAKER’S STUDIO WORKSHOP OUTLINE
Here’s what to expect across the four sessions: you’ll start with a hands-on progression from tasting and materia medica, explore formulation, and end with a community tea showcase. Each session is led by herbalists and tea experts who’ll guide you step-by-step toward crafting your own botanical blends.
SESSION 1 | TEA TASTING & ORGANOLEPTIC EXPLORATION
Through guided tasting, evaluating color, scent, and texture, and group discussion in real time, you will discover how herbalists evaluate plants and use taste as a formulation tool.
