The best part? While most reward programs start out at zero on the day they open, we’ve found a way to honor some past purchases and give you a bit of a head start. This means that many students will be automatically enrolled into our Rewards Program with perks already unlocked.
We’re able to honor eligible purchases as far back as January 1, 2025. If you’ve made a purchase with Herbal Academy since then, the answer is YES, you qualify for rewards and have been automatically enrolled into the program.
Just make sure you’re subscribed to our newsletter list with the same email address that’s associated with your Student Account to receive all your Rewards Perks. (Fill out the form below, if needed).
The Rewards Program will open via email the afternoon of August 5, 2026. If you’re eligible, look for an email with the subject line: “Welcome to Herbal Academy Rewards: [Your Tier name]” for all the details (and save it for future reference)!
If you have NOT made a purchase with Herbal Academy since January 1, 2025, then you do not qualify for rewards (yet!). You will need to complete a transaction of $1 or more to be automatically enrolled into the Rewards Program.

Your Rewards Program tier status is determined by your overall spend with Herbal Academy since January 1, 2025. When you purchase Herbal Academy courses, workshops, or items from our Goods Shop, it all counts toward your overall spend.
Tier status is permanent, and never resets or expires. Once a tier status is reached, you’ll keep it for life, unless you advance to the next tier to unlock more perks!
If you’re an email subscriber, then as soon as you reach a rewards tier, you will receive an email explaining the perks you have access to. This will include the coupon code for your tier discount and a link to access your complimentary materia medica pages (Tier 1) or enrollment access (Tiers 2 – 5). Save this email!
If you’re not subscribed to Herbal Academy emails – but would like to join the Rewards Program and believe that you qualify – then please fill out and submit the form at the top of this page.
Keep an eye on your inbox on your birthday, because we’ll send you a separate email with a coupon code for Goods Shop Birthday Bucks (Tiers 2 – 5), and a link to add a complimentary birthday gift to your cart at checkout (Tiers 4 and 5).
Your coupon codes for course access are found in your Tier welcome email, which you may use on your next individual course enrollment.

Herbal Academy newsletter subscribers are automatically enrolled into the Rewards Program upon making their first purchase of $1 or more. However, if you have updated your email preferences or have previously unsubscribed from receiving our newsletters, you will need to RESUBSCRIBE with the email address used on your Herbal Academy student account in order to receive your reward emails.
If you would like to earn Birthday Bucks on your birthday, you will also need to RESUBSCRIBE via the form at the top of this page with the email address used on your Herbal Academy student account in order to receive your reward emails.
This Rewards Program is email-based, and we need your permission to send you all of the relevant details.
Our Rewards Program includes special gifts on your birthday (varied by tier status). Providing your date of birth is not mandatory to participate in the Rewards Program, but you won’t receive your Goods Shop Birthday Bucks (Tiers 2 – 5) and birthday gifts (Tiers 4 – 5) if you choose not to provide it. You can add your birthday using the form at the top of this page, and we’ll match it to your account automatically.
Remember: It’s important that your Rewards email address matches the email address that you used to create your student account.

Whether you’re purchasing a workshop, course, or something from the Goods Shop, all purchases made on theherbalacademy.com count toward the rewards program. Please note: Herbalism Conference tickets and memberships to The Herbarium are hosted on separate platforms, and they do not apply toward your Herbal Academy Rewards.

Your discount coupon codes are valid for 999 days, after which we will automatically issue a new one (via email) if it’s not been used. Goods Shop Birthday Bucks expire after one year. Remember, our herbal courses come with lifetime access, so you can use your discount to purchase a course and then start learning whenever you’re ready!
Your rewards coupons cannot be combined with other sales, offers, or promotions. The course coupon can only be used on one individual course enrollment, and does not apply to Path Packages. Each coupon can be used once.

Yes, let’s say you enroll in a Path Package and jump straight to Tier 4. We will still send you access to the complimentary courses and downloadable materials from previous tiers, as applicable. This includes the downloadable materia medica blank template PDF, along with the My Herbal Study Tips Mini Course, Becoming an Herbalist Mini Course, and the 30-Day Herbal Reset (as applicable).
You will not receive access to multiple course coupons at once; only the coupon that applies to your current tier, delivered via your welcome email.
Many of these complimentary workshops are set with limited time access. Re-register for the course again if you’d like more time with the offering or simply pass on signing up with the complimentary offer, and look forward to using your course coupon towards a new enrollments instead.
Yes, while the birthday gifts for Tier 4 (Herbal Academy Cap) and Tier 5 (Apothecary Mug) are free, we just ask you to cover the cost of shipping. We suggest adding these free gifts to your cart when you take advantage of your Birthday Bucks in the Goods Shop.
