Herbal Arnold Palmer Recipe: Just What You Need!

In the late 1960s, Arnold Palmer, a famous American golfer and humanitarian, was known to request a drink mixture of mostly tea with a splash of lemonade, which was later named after him. The beverage is readily available as a non-alcoholic staple due to the perfect balance of bold black tea and citrus-sweet lemonade. The…

Herbal Beer: An Ancient Drink for Modern Times

It’s funny — I never thought I would write anything positive about beer. My husband homebrews, so it has always been his thing. It was never something I cared too much about since I’ve never had much of a palate for beer. I’ve always preferred wine as my alcoholic beverage of choice — until recently…

“SISTERS, we’ve been gone 300 years.” - Wini “SISTERS, we’ve been gone 300 years.” - Winifred Sanderson

Actually, it’s been nearly 30 years since the Sanderson Sisters flew across the big screen. In honor of the much anticipated sequel to the beloved halloween classic, Hocus Pocus, we bring you… Sanderson Sisters S’mores 🍫💫

Whip up homemade fluffy maple marshmallows crafted with the very ingredient it was named after — marshmallow root ☁️

Top it with your own black flame fudge, dripping in herbal goodness with a hint of rose.
Sandwich them between two graham crackers and you’ll have the tastiest bite of s’mores you’ve tried yet!

It’s all just a bunch of hocus pocus and a few herbal ingredients to create your very own Sanderson Sisters S'mores! Each bite is so delicious— it just may bring back the sisters (again)!

Find the new full recipe on our blog by searching “s’mores”- we will link it in our stories, too.

Tell us, where are all the Hocus Pocus fans at? Comment below if you’ll be watching the sequel tonight 🤗🎥
🌼 3 Herbs for Inflammation 🌼 Together, t 🌼 3 Herbs for Inflammation 🌼

Together, this impressive trio makes something of a catch-all formula for tackling internal inflammation on unbroken skin from the outside in.

🌻 Arnica (Arnica spp.) – considered drying and warming
🌿 Solomon’s seal (Polygonatum biflorum) – moistening and cooling
🌼 St. John’s wort (Hypericum perforatum) – fairly neutral

These herbal trio combination works dynamically where nerve or muscle pain is involved while balancing each other energetically.

St. John’s wort is to the nerves as arnica is to the muscles. Solomon’s seal—with its penchant for mending connective tissue—ties it all together, literally and metaphorically.

Make a salve from the oils of these three herbs, and you will never be without access to a reliable herbal preparation for easily addressing a wide range of different types of inflammation, from acute injury to chronic pain. These herbs also make an excellent massage oil for use on the upper and lower back, neck muscles, and anywhere on the body where there is stiffness and soreness.

Can you guess which day is today? Well, it’s a P Can you guess which day is today?
Well, it’s a Plant a Tree Day, of course! And to mark the date, we’re bringing our friend Joshua @livetolearn_learntolive back to the feed… Together with the fruits from this tree he planted and this beautiful message on hope and reciprocity ✨

Whether you’re an herbalist who works closely with trees that provide herbal allyship through leaves, flowers, and fruits, a hiker who enjoys outdoor adventures in forested areas, a backyard or container gardener, or a kitchen creative working with a variety of ingredients, we are sure we all agree on this one thing: our relationship with the plants is only sustainable if it looks beyond what plants can do for us, and asks how we can give back to them in return, ensuring their ability to thrive.

Planting and nurturing a tree is an act of love that stretches over the years. And, as Joshua puts it, “make no mistake about it: it will get back to you.” 🤲🌳💛

Friends, tell us: what is an important tree in your local environment? With a community across so many different regions, we’re curious to see which trees will sprout in the comments section below! 🌱
