Cancellation and Refund Policy

The Herbal Academy of New England’s cancellation policy assumes that workshop/program/event space may be limited, and/or arrangements have been made, including set-up of program, web development, provision of handouts, ordering of materials, and/or other arrangements.


Local Events and Workshops

Cancellation requests must be submitted 14 days or more prior to the event date to receive full reimbursement of the registration fee.

Cancellations four to 13 days before the event may receive 80% refund of the registration price.

There are no reimbursements for cancellations made three days up to the event. If a student cannot attend a local workshop, a friend or family member can always take their place instead. Please notify the director if this is the case.

Example: The Workshop ($50) is held April 20.

Online Programs

Online programs are set up for students to study at their own pace, in the luxury of their own homes. Students typically begin the program the day they sign up.

Students may be refunded 80% of registration price within the first 7 days of the registration date. There are no refunds after 7 days of registration including for those students on payment plans. All future payments scheduled as part of a payment plan will continue as planned after 7 days of registration.

For those students paying in installments, refunds are calculated based on the entire course cost, not the first installment. For example, for an Introductory Level Course, which has an entire course cost of $195 and a first installment of $65, HA will keep 20% of $195 ($39). $39 is deducted from the paid first installment, and the student would be refunded $26.

** For students registering for online programs that have official launch dates, cancellation up to 7 days after the launch date will be refunded at 80% of the registration price. After 7 days, there will be no refunds available.

Example: A student who registered in advance for the Intermediate Herbal Program (launches Nov 25) will have until Dec 2 to receive an 80% refund. There will be no other refunds available.

The Herbarium Membership

The Herbarium is your virtual and vibrant collection of herbal resources. The website will grow with new articles, podcasts, videos, media tools and of course monographs. It’s kind of like a virtual magazine! Your subscription covers an entire year of material, dished out each and every month. While there are no refunds after joining, you can cancel your subscription anytime, which will deactivate your annual renewal. In The Herbarium website, go under “my account” and choose the cancel option. Because you paid for an annual subscription, your access will be good for the rest of the year. We’re sad to see you go.

Failed Payment Policy

Students enrolled with a payment plan are responsible to pay the program in full. Should there be a declined/failed payment, students must manually confirm the payment through their student account. If a declined payment is not paid within 3 months, the Herbal Academy reserves the right to cancel the student’s enrollment entirely. At that point, students will lose all of their course progress and any payments made towards the. To continue with the program, students would need to re-enroll in the course without payment credit for past payments.
