Biography

Nicia is a member of the Herbal Academy's Community Support team, a student of the Herbal Academy, a future regenerative farmer, and the FoundHer of Celestial Sirens Apothecary. A born-and-raised Californian, she is passionate about herbalism, lifelong learning, and fostering meaningful connections—with plants, ancestors, community, and the natural world. Inspired by her own healing journey, she dreams of one day stewarding a regenerative farm where medicinal herbs are cultivated with care and where others are invited to reconnect with the earth, themselves, and the wisdom of the plants.

Through her work in Community Support, Nicia enjoys helping students feel welcomed, encouraged, and empowered as they begin and continue their herbal journeys—just as she felt when she first joined the Herbal Academy community as a student. Outside of work, you'll likely find her wandering California's coastal trails and forests in search of wildflowers to press, creating stained glass and botanical art, or spending time with her beloved dogs and cats. She believes that some of life's greatest teachers are found in nature and is grateful to continue learning from the plants every day.
