Colleen Quinn is an internationally celebrated clinical aromatherapist, cosmetic chemist, researcher and educator. Committed to delivering functional therapeutic plant-based products, Colleen has travelled the globe on a quest for knowledge, innovation and the best quality ingredients from dedicated sustainable farmers in order to create therapeutic benefits in skin and health care. With formidable energy and insatiable curiosity, she is constantly pushing back the boundaries of her knowledge and skill. The DNA of plants continues to be of consuming interest for her and she derives unceasing satisfaction from exploring the chemistry of new ingredient pairings which create new and enhanced synergistic impacts. Colleen began her career at the age of 18, studying aromatherapy in Provence, France and had her own complementary therapy practice for 10 years. During that time, she became a Macmillan-trained therapist, which led her to work with terminally ill cancer patients. Today, she has a particular interest in educating on the health benefits of essential oils and cannabis in the treatment of a wide array of conditions and particularly with oncology patients. Colleen is driven by an almost missionary zeal to share with the widest possible audience her passionate belief in – and love for – the plant oils that she describes as nature’s bounty, the astonishing, complex and beneficial botanicals which have been used since ancient times for their aromatic and therapeutic properties.
