Biography

Natural dye artisan, teacher, author of "Botanical Inks plant-To-Print Dyes, Techniques & Projects" and "By Hand: Botanical Dyeing" both published by Quadrille Books, TedX Speaker and producer of Bristol Cloth - the UK's pioneer relocalised soil-to-soil textile production system, Babs has worked with clients including the V&A Museum, the Saatchi Gallery, Tate St.Ives, Hauser+Wirth, Facebook London, Jo Malone and appeared in the Financial Times, Guardian, BBC Countryfile, Sky News, Country Living and Selvedge Magazine amongst others. Babs lives in magical Dartmoor, in the south west of England, where she grows and tends to a medicinal herbal dye garden with a focus on female wellbeing  and creativity. Babs is ever curious about the bridge that craft offers into deeper connection with plants; Is an affiliate of the SWE Fibreshed, a student of the School Of Intuitive Herbalism and has trained with ceremonialist Glennie Kindred.
