Butterfly Pea Flower Latte with Lavender Rose Cold Foam

Butterfly pea (Clitoria ternatea) flower is well known for the dreamy blue hues it gives when blended into foods or drinks. These flowers, in particular, are known for their vibrant blue coloration, which is attributed to the high concentration of anthocyanins. But this herb is more than just a pretty face. It’s an herb that can invite calm and joy and be a helpful ally during these first few months of adjusting to the back-to-school season! The Butterfly Pea Flower Latte recipe below is one way to do just that.

Butterfly pea is also considered a nootropic and may have positive effects on cognitive function, making it perfect for study time, whether during in-person school days or participating in online courses. In Ayurveda, it is a classic for easing stress, lightening occasional depression, and boosting mood (Mukherjee et al., 2008). Butterfly pea can be helpful in balancing emotional swings and in supporting memory function and cognition.
