Biography

Reshma Sinu studied Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) at the Ashwini Ayurvedic Medical College Hospital and Research Centre at the Rajiv Gandhi University Karnataka and also completed an internship in House Surgery in Karnataka, India (2014-15). Dr. Reshma worked as a medical officer at an ayurvedic pañcakarma hospital, an undertaking by the government of Kerala, India.
As of April 6, 2015, she became a qualified Ayurvedic Doctor in the state register, maintained under the Travancore-Cochin Medical Council for Indian System of Medicine. She is also a registered practitioner in Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy (AYUSH). In addition, Reshma was the former joint secretary of OISCA International Thrissur chapter. Dr. Sinu worked for one year as a medical officer at Oushadhi Panchakarma Hospital and Research Institute, in Thrissur, Kerala, India, an undertaking by the Kerala government.
For the past three years Reshma has been working as an ayurvedic practitioner and educator at The Ayurvedic Center of Vermont. As part of her practice, she has been providing services in pañcakarma, abhyaṅga (massage), shirodhara and other ayurvedic therapies. To provide an awareness of the importance of ayurvedic practices in the community, Dr. Reshma has conducted several workshops and seminars, as well as written articles about various health related topics. Dr. Reshma believes in the importance of women’s health and her passion is to provide the best care to new mothers.
In 2018, Dr. Reshma joined the Herbal Academy team as a contributor to share with students her knowledge of ayurveda.
