Biography

Holly Brandenberger is the founder of Science of Essentials, an online resource that supplies education worldwide regarding aromatherapy and holistic health. She received her Bachelor's of Science in Nursing in 2006 from Marquette University. She has a wide range of RN experience including trauma, burns, post-surgical, endoscopy and hospital administration. She has always been fascinated with how stress impacts the mind and body. She discovered aromatherapy in 2015 and loved how essential oils can strengthen the mind-body connection and initiate a relaxation response. She became a Certified Aromatherapist in 2020 through The School of Aromatic Studies and has been expanding her education ever since through specialized courses in aromatic chemistry, essential oil safety, internal use, trauma, botanical skin care and more. She is currently working with hospital systems bringing aromatherapy to the bedside to support patients. She is also an instructor at The School of Aromatic Studies teaching aromatherapy certification programs. Holly lives outside Seattle on her family farm with her husband, Jared, and three children, Hazel, Teddy, and Olive. She grew up on a Christmas tree farm in Wisconsin that her parents still own and operate. She loves her massive garden, running, soup season, picnics, foraging for chanterelle mushrooms, kale, arugula, and charcuterie boards. Her sincerest desire is to bless others with the knowledge she has gained through combining her education in modern medicine and holistic health.
