Here at the Academy, we often talk about living the connection. We connect with our environment and the plants within it, to the cycles and seasons and turning of the Earth, and even to ourselves. Our health and wellness directly correlates with our connectivity to the world around us, and how we honor that special bond. We hope you are living this practice as you learn about wild edibles and the natural world that surrounds you!

Participating in the herbal journey for the purpose of benefiting oneself is a beautiful thing. That being said, studying medicinals to benefit and help others is really something special! As herbalists, we are called to connect with our entire community…

And so, we want to put a challenge out there!

The #myherbalstudies Challenge

As you learn how better to connect with plants through your herbal studies, we challenge you to share your experience with our herbal community! Here is how you can get involved:

Share your herbal study experiences by snapping a picture of your latest endeavour and posting to Instagram (or other social media) using the hashtag #myherbalstudies. (Be sure you are already following @herbalacademy on Instagram.)

All of us have something to learn, teach, inspire and give – post your herbal recipe reports from class, home remedies from the blog, or images of your foraging adventures! Share pictures of plants you are studying, images of your materia medica, quotes and inspiration from your favorite herbalists… Nothing is off limits.

We’ll be following along in your adventures, and we hope you’ll follow along with your fellow classmates, membership and herb enthusiasts, as well!

2. Post an image on Instagram with the hashtag #myherbalstudies 

Tag @herbalacademyofne in the post or comments so we are notified and can quickly find you! There are no limits to how many times you can connect with us, so use the hashtag as many times as you wish. We will be sharing truly inspiring posts on our various social media platforms and newsletter blasts. We might just ask a few of you to blog for us (like Gold Milk by @tarasmedicinals).
