DIY Curtain Holdback

Items needed for the DIY Curtain Holdback:

• Door Plate of choice
• Door Knob of choice (must have threaded type for screw)
• 2 – 3/8” carriage bolts 3 ½” – 4” long
• 2 – 3/8” flat washers and 2 – 3/8” nuts
• Crescent wrench
• Electrical tape
• Paint brush
• Craft paint

Tape over head and beginning threads of bolt; go around bolt three times. This will keep bolt from spinning when tightening nut to bolt.

Insert screw from back of plate and place washer over bolt from front. Thread nut onto bolt while holding back of bolt. Tighten with wrench to complete the installation; try to keep bolt straight during this process.

Screw Knob to bolt. If knob has set screw tighten to secure.

Paint screw, nut, and washer to match plate.

Lastly, push mounting screws into Styrofoam plate to paint heads to match. Finished! Now, just where to put it…
